“Hailing from the Scandinavian Peninsula country of Norway, Rocky Kramer is truly a modern-day Viking, poised to take no prisoners as he conquers the hearts, minds and souls of rockers around the world!”

You’ve had a phenomenal year in 2022, what were some of the highlights for you?

2022 was an interesting year. I put the band back together with new, very talented musicians. I’ve worked closely with the script writers for “Rockin’ in Time” and I filmed a Toyota commercial late last year that aired this year, which was very exciting, because I got many messages from friends and fans who saw it on TV. I saw it for the first time on TV during the season premiere of Saturday Night Live this fall. It’s a special feeling to see yourself on TV. In May, I performed my first full live performance with my new band at the Santa Fe Springs Art Festival, where we performed songs from “Firestorm”, a couple of new songs and a spectacular finale, performing “My Sharona” with the bass player from The Knack, Prescott Niles. Since then, I’ve been rehearsing the next album and the soundtrack to my upcoming movie “Rockin’ in Time” with my band.

Have you begun working on your movie yet and if so, what has your experience been thus far, and if not, what are your expectations?

We’ve been developing and fine tuning the script, while also rehearsing the music with my band, including unique songs for the movie, a couple of covers and a few tracks from my new album. I'm not allowed to say much more than that, but this movie is going to be a lot of fun and exciting for everyone. Filming starts this year so we’re getting close to kicking the production into overdrive. Making a movie is a long process, but I’m excited about the direction the script is going. I think it’s gonna be a fun movie!

Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?

I generally don’t have any major New Year’s resolutions, but I like the idea of trying to take better care of myself and the people around me as each year goes by. Life is unpredictable so it’s important to stay healthy and have a positive attitude.

What are you most looking forward to in the new year?

I’m looking forward to both recording my next album “Alone in the Rain” and filming “Rockin’ in Time”. My new band is incredible so I think we’re gonna get a great selection of amazing tracks and filming my first movie is a huge moment in my career, so I can’t wait!

Will you be coming out with new music in 2023 and if so, what can we expect?

My upcoming album “Alone in the Rain” is a concept album with a symphonic blend of thrilling guitar solos, heavy riffs, catchy synth melodies and high-octane vocals. If “Firestorm” is the appetizer, “Alone in the Rain” is the main course. Alone in the Rain's release date hasn't been announced yet and it will be coordinated with the movie, as well as the movie's soundtrack, which will have some original material on it. So, when the movie comes out, be ready for lots of Rocky Kramer music!

Aside from your movie and your music, what's new for Rocky in 2023 and beyond?

I’ve learned that it’s important to keep an open mind when a new year starts. But I'm not kidding myself; 2023 is going to be a very busy year for me, my band and a whole bunch of motion picture people! It’s hard to predict what a year has to offer, so I’m staying positive that wonderful and exciting things will result from all the hard work. I'm looking forward to a great year, not only for me, but for the world. I wish everyone a Happy New Year!
